MORE ABOUT PROGRAMS:

Duo Fresco also offers flexible programs where, as guest artists, they collaborate with a resident ensemble to present joint chamber music events. These options are popular with summer chamber music festivals.
Duo Fresco often performs a portion of a concert as a duo and the remainder as duo with guest artist.

Common collaborations include, but are not limited to: violin, flute or cello. Duos with viola and guest artist or guitar and guest artist are also common. Viola or guitar solo literature is also a possibility in any program.

Sample Collaborative works include:

Duo Fresco + Violinist: Trios by Alfred Uhl, Astor Piazzolla,
Francesco Molino, Sandor Jemnitz

Duo Fresco + Flautist: Trios by Wenceslas Matiegka, Anton
Diabelli, Stephen Dodgson, Sergio Assad

• Duo Fresco + Cellist: Trios by Nicolo Paganini, FJ Haydn

• Viola & Violin: Sonata by Manuel Maria Ponce, Madrigals by Borislav Martinu

• Guitar & violin: Le Histoire du Tango by Astor Piazzolla,
Sonata Concertante by Nicolo Paganini.

Committed to building new audiences for classical music, Duo Fresco presents various community and school programs designed to delight and inform.

Informances: These innovative programs are ideal for community concert series, schools (middle school through collegiate level). These can be tailor made to suit the interests of a particular audience.

An informance includes discussion of works to be performed with a focus on historical contextualization of standard repertory from past eras and opening doors to new or recently composed works in order to help them understand and relate to what they are about to hear.

Adult Educational Outreach: These programs are geared towards older audiences and are ideal additions to concert series wishing to reach out to older audiences. Thoughtful, lively commentary accompanies performances.

Workshops: Workshops in chamber music as well as in the performance of string instruments and guitar are available.

Curricular Assistance: Duo Fresco also works with instructors in developing ideas & strategies for improving student performance skills.
